Really, really small space

My dear friend, Daphne, has been sending me links to teeny-tiny apartments lately. First was this microscopic place in London, and then today a place on the Upper West Side. I might be nuts, but this apartment look like it could actually be a good deal. Judging by the looks of it, it's probably only a little bit smaller than my old apartment on West 10th Street. The comments from curbed.com, the site that pointed out the listing, readers are very mixed. If I were in the market for a first apartment, I'd certainly go take a look, and then I'd immediately start researching Murphy beds, my favorite small space solution.
