Easter Sunday

Wednesday, April 15, 2009

My sister and I spent a lovely Easter Sunday in New Jersey with friends. On our way to the brunch, we stopped into a bakery to buy a treat for our hosts. When we saw this crazy pink bunny cake we both erupted into a fit of giggles. We laughed so hard I could barely manage to ask the woman behind the counter how much it cost. After a moment of deliberation, we decided that we really had to buy the silly cake for our friends.

Being a couple with a great sense of humor, they both laughed at the site of the rabbit cake. The husband immediately one upped our silliness with blueberry "droppings" behind the bunny's tail. All laughter aside, our hostess is a regular Martha Stewart, who turned out a beautiful brunch, complete with homemade blueberry muffins and piles of spring flowers. What a perfect Sunday!

Naughty bunny!

A collection of Easter sweets: M&Ms, chocolate egg cake, homemade blueberry muffines and a famous daffodil cake from Buffalo, NY.

The apartment was filled with tulips, daffodils and hyacinths, which made everything feel like spring.
