Urban Composting

Wednesday, April 22, 2009

Yesterday's edition of Brooklyn Based was all about urban composting. While there's no way I am ever going to host a colony of worms to compost in my kitchen, this did give me a little nudge to start separating out my compostable scraps for the compost collection at Fort Greene Park. I go to the park every Saturday to buy my milk, yogurt, fruits and vegetables anyway, it wouldn't be that hard for me to start bringing along a container of vegetable scraps.

Also, if you live in Brooklyn, Brooklyn Based is a great newsletter--it's frequently one of the most interesting things in my morning emails. I'd definitely recommend subscribing.
