After a year of spending most nights here in Apartment 1B, my lovely boyfriend has moved in with me, and I'm over-the-moon about having him for a roommate. (That's him goof-ily demonstrating what a "superior" man he is above.)
Moving itself is a tough, stressful thing, but moving a second person into a relatively small one-bedroom apartment is even tougher than a regular move. Right now our apartment looks like there are hoarders living here (I won't even show you a photo). However, it's only been a couple of days and each day is infinitely better than the last.
Step one for making this move workable was me finding an office space, which it seems I have. The rest has involved a lot of trips to the Goodwill, unloading other stuff on Craigslist, a conversion of a closet space and more shelving for the living room. Luckily for me, my boyfriend has fantastic taste, so a lot of great-looking things are moving in with him.
Stay tuned for solutions for fitting two people into a space that one had very easily filled.
